I saw Ian for a family settlement matter. He explained the process and the steps clearly and pragmatically, avoiding lighting or fanning any ‘emotional fires’. My ex & I walked away without spending a fortune through our solicitors because Ian kept everything on track without all of the guff. This was appreciated, as what could have been an expensive, drawn-out process was very cut and dry & I couldn’t be more thankful for that. Jacob also helped quite a lot throughout and I found him to be a considerate, obliging gentleman. If you can say a family settlement experience was great, then indeed, this was.

I would strongly advise engaging another firm for your legal matters. One week out from the mention CDG law withdrew from the case sighting complexities and the need to engage further council. Myself being left with less than a week to find and brief another firm about my matter, we were still successful in obtaining the orders sort. In closing, the office staff and the lawyer I was working with from CDG law were very efficient and friendly. Sadly the same cannot be said of the principals of CDG law who in my opinion, want to pass the “heavy lifting” onto other council at the extra expense of the client, which as my matter clearly showed was an unnecessary expense. Any law firm who is willing to withdraw from a matter a week before a mention, is a law firm that does not hold its clients best interests at heart. Look elsewhere for your legal needs.
