The most draining experience ever! I have left several emails and phone messages.. 3 weeks later and still no response. Tyler Wolff ignores your request with no communication whatsoever! My case took over 2.5 years and it still isn’t resolved. Under his legal advice, I paid for a barrister which cost me $4000, He promises me I will be reimbursed the full amount ($4000). 2.5 years later still nothing, no money and no communication from him. Then out of no where I received an email that the case is closed. I was not happy so I replied to the email. Later that afternoon Tyler rings me apologising on their behalf stating the company will provide me a refund including legal fees ($880). I agreed to the full refund. Me thinking it will be the full amount of $4000 but the cheque was for $880 ONLY… ! I’m still out of pocket $3120? Still today he is not returning my calls or emails and it’s been 5 weeks. Disappointed and disgusting service! The company is meant to help you but instead they lie to you and take your money thinking they are untouchable because they are a legal firm. Avoid Maloney Anderson legal and look for a more trusted legal firm that will fight for you instead of taking you for a ride with no legal outcome.

Thank you Christine McCappin for your hard work and dedication in achieving a great outcome for our Dad. He was extremely happy. You are very professional, straight down the line and have great knowledge. You took on his case towards the end but you were willing to understand exactly where he was coming from and fight for a fair outcome in his favour. We will continue to be very grateful of all your hard work, especially on the day of mediation. Once again, Thank you he definitely deserves every bit of this. We also Thank Emily Lai for all her hard work and getting this case started And Jacintha for all the behind-the-scenes work that’s involved. Forever grateful ~ Geoff Baldwin

Loren & Phillipa have handled a number of property matters for me and most recently a settlement of a property that had a number of challenges. Thanks to them, I got an excellent result, one that in my opinion I would certainly not achieved without their experience and expertise!

I’ve chosen to edit this post in light of recent events (original post Nov 17, edit Feb 18) This firm was the most unprofessional and borderline unethical group of people I and my family have ever dealt with. I personally had the following issues (my brother and I attempted to get Maloney Anderson to do some conveyancing for us as we’re based interstate): - every time I called to discuss the matter I spoke to a different person, each of whom had absolutely no idea what they were doing or how to get me the help I was looking for - each time I called (4 seperate occasions over 2 weeks) I was told someone would call or email me back, they never did - when I tried to negotiate the price because I’d found someone else who could do it at half the price (not exaggerating) they were not interested The most concerning issue I had was the service and treatment of my mother, who was the executor of her grandmothers estate and had employed Maloney Anderson to represent her for this matter, the following events come to mind: - after making my first review, and before the estate had been settled, they confronted her in their office with a printout of the review and aggressively asked her to have me remove it from here - through the management of the estate my mother was made to feel afraid to question the lawyer and was never given appropriate advice to have the matter settled in a quick and efficient manner (it took 14 months to settle an estate that was worth

To summarise, you pay for an absolute nightmare. You just don't want these people anywhere near your home, property or real estate team/business. We have purchased a number of properties in Mildura, using our regular conveyance/lawyer. All good. I'm not sure why we opted to use a local conveyancer to buy our last property but we chose Maloney Anderson Legal and, we certainly wish we hadn't. Our usual lawyer, although not the cheapest, is absolutely pro active, has your back and does the work (that a good conveyancer should) for you. He has even increased profit through the buying process with certain negotiations. Your conveyancer does not have to be local (they do need VIC credentials). Our buying team referred to Maloney Anderson Legal as 'Baloney's' for short. Baloney's are absolutely PASSIVE and you feel that they are acting against your interests. You cant get hold of them, you can tell they are giving you the run around and waving at each other to indicate that they are 'in a meeting' or 'not available at the moment'. We found ourselves spending significant time and expense chasing Baloney's around, chasing for advice, chasing for progress updates, querying their process, chasing for information (to be told to go and get information yourselves, from somewhere, or employ a surveyor, or go somewhere else). At one point we wanted to change conveyancer, and Baloney's seemed very happy for this however stated that they would charge for 'all their time' to date which I believe would have been a blank cheque scam. Easy money! I suspect they make some money this way. We had to study conveyancing ourselves to reassure ourselves that fundamental steps were being taken (forget crossing T's or dotting I's). Don't expect any advice with Baloney's, don't expect to feel like you are being looked after but expect to feel that you are paying money to a mob on the opposite side of a divide who will make you feel convinced that they are acting against you! I honestly felt sabotaged and would never use Baloney's again. I found that the Vendor also used Baloney's and was even more upset with them. Around that time, she was considering taking proceedings against them. We and the Vendor ended up forming a working relationship between ourselves, which worked out well and I think helped make things work. I hope my review helps others avoid the total disappointment, fear and stress when making significant home/property transactions. A normal conveyancer won't give you all of the above problems.
